Call for Workshops/Tutorials Proposals
The 35th International Conference on Field-Programmable Logic and Applications (FPL 2025, https://2025.fpl.org/) will be held in Leiden, Netherlands, from September 1-5, 2025. We are soliciting proposals for workshops and tutorials, which will take place on September 1st and 2nd, 2025. These events provide excellent opportunities to bring together researchers and practitioners from different communities to share their experiences in an interactive atmosphere and foster collaboration for new and innovative projects.
We invite you to submit a half-day workshop/tutorial proposal within (but not limited to) the following topics related to FPL:
- Architectures and Technology
- Application Acceleration
- Programming Models and Languages
- System Software and Environment Support
- Design Methods and Tools
- High Integrity Computing Architectures
- Safety-Critical Applications
- High-Performance Computing
- Artificial Intelligence and Large Language Models
- Neuromorphic Computing
- Quantum Computing
- 5G/6G and Beyond
- Reconfigurable Systems Security
Workshops should focus on encouraging interactions between invited speakers, organizers, and attendees. Tutorials should contain pedagogical material (i.e., akin to a short course) to present and explain recent methods to attendees of diverse backgrounds.
To submit a proposal, we ask you to prepare a PDF file (3 pages max, excluding references), following the requirements below.
Workshop proposal requirements:
- Title of the workshop
- Up to 5 keywords
- List of organizers, including their short biographies, affiliation, and their expertise in the proposed topic(s)
- A description of topics and specific issues that the workshop will address, how the workshop complements FPL 2025, and why the workshop topic is relevant
- The expected workshop format (regular-paper presentations, poster presentations, invited talks, panel discussions, demo sessions, or other ideas to promote active exchange of ideas, or hybrid)
- Intended audience and expected attendance
- Invited speakers (with their confirmation email)
- Tentative schedule
- Plan to solicit participation
- Equipment. Describe any additional requests you may have regarding particular equipment or room setup. For instance: seating arrangements, power requirements, demo space, additional microphones, extra projectors/monitors, etc. Please also indicate the number of posters that you are expecting for your event
Tutorial proposal requirements:
- Title of your tutorial
- Up to 5 keywords
- Abstract (max. 300 words)
- List of organizers and speakers, including their short biographies and affiliations
- Full tutorial description (max. 2 pages), including motivation, main contents, and format (e.g., lecture, hands-on)
- Target audience and prerequisite knowledge of the audience
- Special requirements for the tutorial room
Please send your proposals by email to both the FPL 2025 Workshop and Tutorial Co-Chairs with the subject: “FPL2025 Workshop proposal” or “FPL2025 Tutorial proposal”. If you do not receive a confirmation within 48 hours, please resend your email or reach out directly to one of the co-chairs.
The deadline to submit proposals is June 1st, 2025.
